Photo Resizing, Enhancement & Retouching

I love working with digital photos! I can resize, enhance, retouch (edit) any digital photo for you. Whether you need to lighten up a photo that is too dark, correct some imperfections, remove unwanted objects or people from your photo, or add something that wasn't originally there - I'd love to help!

There are endless possibilities to editing digital images. To simplify things, I've grouped them into 3 basic tasks with flat pricing (scroll down for the pricing and payment options) even though the time and effort spent on some of those tasks may be unpredictable and quite substantial.

Resizing (and cropping): I can make a large photo smaller, or enlarge a small photo (although it's better to go from large to small). I can also crop a particular area of the photo while resizing it.
Photo Enhancement: correction of lighting and exposure, contrast, color and tonal adjustment, image sharpening, etc. No changes are made to the contents of the photo itself.
Photo Retouching: includes photo enhancing as above, PLUS: background change, removal of red eye or camera flare, removal or replacement of unwanted details or persons etc.

Below are some examples of the above photo editing tasks. Resizing and cropping are self-explanatory, so I'll save the space on this page.

Some Samples of Photo Retouching
(Images are shown smaller than the actual size)

1.) Various correcting and enhancing touches have been applied to this portrait. PLUS, notice the hand with the glass missing from the "after" photo.

2.) Various photo enhancing tasks have been applied to the next photo, plus the main subject has been removed from the group and put on a different, neutral background, thus making the personal photo suitable for using on web pages, blogs or online profiles.

3.) The next example is something special that I did for my Mother-in-Law... She had an old photo of one of her 3 sisters who, unfortunately, died as a young woman. This was the only photo of her sister from that period of time, and she was reluctant to trust me with it... But I offered to try and "get rid of those legs" - there were somebody's legs right in the middle of picture, sticking from behind her sister's face. Not exactly the kind of background you'd want on the only grown-up portrait of your sister! At last my Mother-in-Law agreed to let me try and added, "Why don't you also take those other people out while you're at it?" :-)

Since this was such a rare and treasured family photo, I decided to do something more than just "get rid of somebody else's legs", I thought I'd make it into a nice portrait of her sister that she could hang or put up next to other family photos in frames (there are lots of those in the house). So I made 3 different versions of the portrait and printed them out on a high quality glossy photo paper... My Mother-in-Law loved them all and couldn't decide which one she liked better! Of course, then she asked for more copies of each version of the portrait for the other sisters and other members of the family!

Here's what the retouched portraits looks like (the images are shown much smaller than the actual size, except the first one, which was the original photo):

Here's how it works...

First, contact me via this form or by email and let me know what I can do for you. Include the details on what you would like me to do with your photo. You can attach your original photo to your email (if you're not sure how to do that, click here), or give me the link to it if it is hosted online. If your photo is very large (in terms of megabytes) and it takes too long to attach it to your email, you can use  http://transferbigfiles.com to send it.

Note: please include a statement similar to this with your order request: "I certify that I either own the copyright to the attached photo(s) or have permission of the copyright owner to have them modified by SplashParade.com."

After I receive your photo I may email you back to and ask for any clarifications and confirm the price quote, if necessary. If everything is clear I'll just get to work right away.

I'll "do my magic" and send you a watermarked image of the finished product.  Please allow up to 5 business days for the turnaround, although I will usually complete the project sooner than that. If any additional corrections are needed after you review the image, just let me know and I'll make them.

If you are satisfied with the result, then you make your payment via any of the online pay processors above. After I receive your payment I will email you the download link where you will be able to download your finished photo. The download link will remain active for 7 days.

Or, if you already know me and trust me, and know the quality of my work, you are welcome to send your payment up front, and then I'll skip the watermarked image step and send you the download link for the finished photo directly. Of course, you can still request any additional changes to your photo in this case as well. I am only satisfied when YOU are!

Other Ideas and Examples of Digital Image Manipulation

Some call it image manipulation... I like to think of it as "creative editing". A very good friend of mine once said that he was "amazed at how vividly I could portray things that never happened". :-)

He was talking about photos like these. (Click on the images to see them full size. You can also see these images in my portfolio under "Splash Pages")

This man was actually
holding an apple.

This girl wasn't holding
anything at all.

There was never any
money in this box.

I never wore this outfit. And I didn't have that long hair either.

These people probably never heard of "IGAM" in their life, let alone lining up to join it! :-)

There was never a white lily or a frog on that pond. The frog lived somewhere else, and he wasn't green either.

My point is, there are literally endless possibilities to editing a digital photo or image. If you need an image your company's product or logo presented by a model... or if you just want a fun picture of your family in front of the Egyptian pyramids or the Eiffel Tower, I can "make it happen".  :-)

Just please make sure you own the copyright to the image (usually, the person who took the photo is the copyright holder), or you have permission from the copyright owner to modify the image.

If you think I can help you with anything, contact me for a quote - I'd be happy to implement your vision!

Other Ideas:

Freshen up old family photos and create a digital photo album - your entire family will love it! (When was the last time you looked in that old shoebox?)
Create a digital slideshow. (Check out the one I made of our family's Christmas get-together (it has sound, too!). Contact me for a quote if you want me to make you a flash slideshow with your digital photos.)
Repair and restore old or damaged photos. (Remove faded spots, folding marks, even restore torn parts.)
Do you have a group photo where your family member (your child, your friend) look their best? Isolate the chosen person from the group and make a larger portrait of that person. Then give it to them as a gift!
Make graduation or prom photos look better.
Correct imperfections on your favorite portrait (improve skin complexion, remove any blemishes, brighten up your smile, etc.)
Remove any unwanted showing tattoos or piercings for a formal photo.
Or, on the contrary, ADD a fun tattoo to your photo, change your hair color or style, instantly "lose" or "gain" weight... then surprise your friends! :-)
Anything else you might think of!

II would be happy to help you implement your idea. Contact me and let's get started!
